123 W Maple: Lessons in Doing a House History
123 W Maple: Lessons in Doing a House History
presented by Heather Robb
Have you wondered about the history of the house an ancestor lived in? Or have you ever had thoughts of who lived in your house before you? Come learn steps that will help you to be able to make a start on your own house history project. We will look at a case study involving 123 West Maple Avenue in an Illinois town. Using examples from sources found for this property and those that resided there, help illustrate just what can be found when conducting a house history.
Heather Robb is a graduate student in the genealogy studies program at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. She is currently working on a topic for her master’s thesis.
