David Bash, Ph.D., earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics in 1969. After teaching for a few years, he became interested in applying mathematics instead of teaching it – especially after having a fellowship sponsored by the National Science Foundation about applied mathematics for college professors of mathematics. His major career was as an Operations Research Analyst with the US Army doing war game development and nuclear weapons effects analysis. David is also a long-standing member of the Civil War Roundtable of Arkansas & Heritage Seekers.
